CEREC One-Visit Crowns
A crown fits over a tooth, like a thimble on a finger, to protect it from further damage. We often use crowns to repair broken, cracked, or heavily decayed teeth. In the past, crowns were made exclusively in dental labs, meaning they required two visits spaced weeks apart to complete. We’ve invested in revolutionary CEREC technology to provide you with beautiful, all-ceramic crowns in just one visit.
What is CEREC?
CEREC stands for CEramic REConstruction. It allows the dentist to design and mill a custom crown using computer software. The digital scanner takes a 3D image of your tooth and sends it to a screen, where the dentist can create an anatomically correct crown complete with bumps and grooves. The chairside milling machine takes CEREC blocs, which are metal-free and known for their strength and beauty.
What are the benefits?
With CEREC, there are no messy impressions, no temporary crowns, and no second visits. CEREC allows us to complete your entire crown procedure in one convenient appointment. CEREC crowns are also metal-free and can be shaded to match your tooth color precisely. In some cases, we work with dental labs to create PFM, Lava, or E.max crowns, depending on your unique situation.
