A partial denture is a solution for missing teeth. Partial dentures are commonly used when there are missing teeth on both sides of the mouth in the same arch. Partial dentures can be made of all acrylic material or a combination of acrylic and metal.

Full dentures are used on edentulous (missing all of the teeth) patients.

The negative side of partial or full dentures is it is removable. Many times it takes many months to get use to something artificial in your mouth. The positive side of partials and dentures is it can replace multiple teeth in an economical way.
