Meet the Doctors
Dr. Joy Collier
Originally from Muskegon, Michigan, Dr. Joy Collier moved to California in 1994. She began her undergraduate work at San Jose State University, and after completing two years, was granted early admission to University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Collier graduated in 2002 with her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.
After graduation, Dr. Collier relocated to Virginia Beach, VA, with her husband, an active duty Navy dentist, and practiced locally for three years. Another move to Washington State afforded Dr. Collier the opportunity to open a private practice in 2005. Pouring her heart into her work, Dr. Collier grew her office into a thriving cosmetic and family dental practice. Several years later, Dr. Collier made the difficult decision to sell her practice and leave Washington for the sunnier, warmer climate of Arizona. Dr. Collier joined Desert Vista Dental in 2009 and became a partner in 2010.
What makes Dr. Collier a great dentist? Not only does she hold certificates in laser therapy and Invisalign clear braces, Dr. Collier has also received advanced training in CEREC technology, has accumulated numerous continuing education hours in cosmetic dentistry, and maintains a professional membership in the highly respected American Dental Association. Most importantly, she truly loves helping her patients allay their dental fears through kindness, understanding, and a gentle touch. Dr. Collier’s compassionate approach allows patients to achieve their goal of optimal oral health and a fantastic smile without medication or heavy sedation.
Dr. Collier’s passion is transforming smiles with cosmetic dentistry. Small changes can make a big difference, and she finds great satisfaction when she’s able to makeover a patient’s appearance, whether it’s replacing an old metal filling with tooth-colored alternatives, or revitalizing front teeth with porcelain veneers. It’s a remarkably rewarding experience to share such an enduring and life-changing event with a patient, especially when they see their new smile for the first time.
Married to her dental school sweetheart, Dr. Collier has two beautiful, young daughters that are the light of her life. When she’s not treating patients at our Goodyear dental practice, you’ll find Dr. Collier spending as much time as possible with her wonderful family.
