Dental implants are artificial tooth replacements
that are used to counter tooth loss.
Implants are commonly composed of a titanium
screw that is placed into the bone tissue
to mimic what the root would be like. This
part of the placement is done at the periodontist’s
office or oral surgeon’s office. Once
placed, there is a 3-6 month healing process
where the bone tissue integrates around the
implant. Once the specialist gives us the
go ahead, the crown is placed on top of the
implant. Dental Implants are a great solution
for missing teeth or to firmly hold a denture.
